Calculate the Volumetric Weight of your Parcel
For parcels travelling within Ireland, DPD Ireland charges are based on the greater of either the volumetric or dead weight of a parcel.
The volumetric calculation used to distribute goods throughout Ireland and the United Kingdom is:L x W x D divided by 6000 CU cms = 1 Kilo
where L = Length, W = Width, and D = Depth
e.g. 50 x 40 x 30 divided by 6,000 = 10.0kg
The volumetric calculation used to distribute goods internationally is:L x W x D divided by 4000 CU cms = 1 Kilo
where L = Length, W = Width, and D = Depth
e.g. 70 x 60 x 50 divided by 4000 = 52.5 kg
